Botanical Description

A succulent tree without leaves, of 4-8 m tall, provided with abundant latex; ramifications go from the tree base and spead up in reversed cone in candelabrum shape, short trunk,  winged and sinuous; quadrangular  succulent branches; thorns of  1-5 mm long arranged by pair. Cymose Inflorescence made up of cyathium.

Medicinal Use

concreted milky juice used as a purgative and emetic (causes nausea and Vomiting). Nshigarije Daniel a tradipractician in Kigali uses juices from rushed  Euphorbia candelabrum whole plant to treat face acne.
