Botanical Description

An aromatic robust herb or a little shrub of 0.30 – 3 m high; red branches  with rigid hairs. Sensitive leaves of  2-10 cm long with 14 – 68 leaflets. Linear to linear –oblong leaf bladeAxillary racemose inflorescence of one or two flowers. The fruits are  linear pods or curvedones.

Medicinal Use

Leaves and flowers are used in the treatment of inflammations, bacterial infections  and tumors.

Other Use

The flowers are eaten as vegetables. Green manure and fodder, industrial hemp, natural gum, and firewood.
