Botanical Description

Perennial herb, up to 90 ccm long, climbing or trailing, stems armed with sharp reflexed prickles, internodes 2-15 cm long. Leaves opposite, petiole 1-10 cm long, with sharp reflexed prickles, stipules divided to base into lanceolate or linear segments, 0.3-0.8 cm long, lamina palmately  5-lobed, divided to about 33/4 of the radius, lobes rhombic in outline, pinnatifid, with siff hairs. Inflorescence 2-flowered, 2-10 cm long. Flowers with lanceolate sepals, 0.7-0.8 cm long, petals broadly spathulate, 0.7-1 cm long and 0.5 cm wide, obtuse, white or pale pink. Fruit a beak like capsule up to 1.5- 2.5 long.

Geranium aculeolatum is used  in treating strains  and headache
