Botanical Description
An erected shrub or a bush or a sarmentaceous plant of 1-3 (5) m of height; branches with internodes of 5 cm long, covered with a dense yellow tomentum. Leaves with a tomentose petioles of 4-6 cm long; cordate leaf blade replica orologi seldom 3 lobed, serrated, which may reach 12 cm long and 8 cm wide.
Medicinal Use
The tea is popular as a natural diuretic, it contains vitamin c and minerals, and isused traditionally as a mild medicine. A 2008 USDA study showed consuming hibiscus tea lowers blood pressure in a groupe of prehypertensive and mildly hypertensive adults.
