Shrubby and woody  herb up to 2 m tall, Stems 4-angled , shortly winged. Leaves opposite, petiole up to 1-4 cm, lamina ovate-elliptic, apex acuminate, base acuminate up to 20 cm  long  and 14.4 cm wide, thinly strigose with 5-7 nerves, inflorescence terminal  cymose, with 2 -15 flowers.
