Botanical Description
Small tree or shrub, from 2-15 m, without spines. Leaves alternate, bipinnate, petiole up to 4 cm long with 12-21 paires of pinnae, leaflets 16-70 per pinna. Inflorescence with capitules in panicles, each capitule consisting of numerous flowers with pale yellow stamens. Pods articulate, 3-10 x 0.5-0.8 cm.

Tree of 2 - 15 m tall without thorns nor prick, compound leave of 12 – 21 pairs of folioles with an axis of 4-12 cm provided with many glands in the upper part. Odorant Yellow flowers grouped in capitula od 5-8 mm long often in panicle.
Medicinal Use
tannin and tannic acid . It is used as a remedy against leprosy. In combination with Hibiscus fiscus leaves and flowers, Acacia mearnnsii is used by Mitali Emmanuel to treat skin diseases and upper respiratoty diseases. Other medical plants can be added for a more efficient treatment.
