Botanical Description

Struggling liana, or erect shrub or little tree,  young glabrous branches, leaf blade narrowly elliptic or obovate, acuminate at the apex, attenuate, obtus to rounded at the base of 6.5-15 cm long and 3-8 cm wide, glabrous, and greenish. Receptacle at the old branches or branches without leaves in  a fascicle.

Medicinal Use

Traditional  use as analgesic and antiinflmmatory .

Other Use

In Ebony clans of Nigeria state, rural people use the leaves as vegetable.
