Botanical Description
Bushy plant which may reach 4 m of height stems and branches are often arched and dangling, they are often reddish. The leaves have petioles of 1 -5 cm long with a limb half spear shaped. Inflorescence in terminal panicle with a lot of ramifications.
Medicinal Use
The leaves are used for treating coughs, or ground and mixed with water and drunk to stop pains in the stomach. A decoction of the whole plant is drunk as a treatment for smallpox and also used to treat intestinal worms.
