Botanical Description

Herb  of 3m tall with a ligneous stump on which derives three stems, which lose its little branches each year. The leaves are sessile,2 or 3 on the same node. Inflorescence of many  white flowers on  a peduncle of 15 cm long.

Medicinal Use

Roots used as a cure for tapeworm. The roots are also used for itching rashes and for pimples. The decoction of the roots is mixed with the milk and taken as a cure for malaria, butcaises acute diarrhooea, and acts as a purgative.
