Botanical Description

Shrub plant with thicked branches,many profoundly lobed leaves with a spike-likeracemose infloresscence .

 

Medicinal Use

In Northern Rwanda,  chenopodium ambrosoides is used to treat Cough, fever caused by measles , and the decocton from leaves is used to wash the child stricken by the measle.  In Uganda, an infusion  prepared from the pounded  leaves is given to calves with swellings in the neck.
