Botanical Description

Kalanchoe rohlfsiiis a succulent flowering plant which can reach 1.50 cm tall. Glabrous to pubescent leaves, lamina deeply pinnatifid, narrowly 3-lobed and alongate, apparently coumpound leaf, cololla tube of 1-1.5 cm long, yellow to greenish yellow.

 

 

Medicinal Use

Roots are used for abortion, while the leaves are used as chest medicine  and for the treatment of rheumatism. Decoction of of boiled root is also taken in small quantities for gonorrhea and  as a vermifuge. In Eastern provinc of Rwanda macerations of Kalanchoe rolfsii leaves are used to treat poisoning (Ayikamiye Sarah, Kirehe district)
